I'm thinking...

Of spinning some yarn to make the so overdone, so passe, Clapotis. I have the urge for a big ol' French scarf [still feeling French, you see?]. Am I crazy? Clapotis in handspun, is this mad? too ambitious? Would the thick/thin be too 'uneven'? What to you guys think? To give you an idea of what I'll be working with, here is what I last spun with the silk/merino I'm planning on using (it was somewhere around a dk/worsted weight), colors to be decided:
